Lightbulb what is the name for this kind of stupidity?

i have been thinking the past few days about this, and can't come up with a name for it, but i knew you all could help me.

when corporate makes decisions and the end result is more chaos than before, we as peons are just expected to suck it up and follow the new rules. it seems to me, that there should be some form of feedback available that would acutally get to the yahoos in corporate to tell them that they need to pull thier heads out and get in touch with reality. what would that type of feedback be called besides impossible?? there has got to be some way to get the point back to the idiots that make the rules with out being involved in the daily game, that they are out in right feild and totally off base.........
or am i just dreaming??

anyone??

Are you referring to a direct sales company? A retail franchise? Most corporations do listen to their customers. Can you share exactly what your frustration is?

it is a retail corporation. a grocery store. some yahoo that has never actually worked in my department is making up all of these new rules for us to follow to keep our dept safe and avoid cross conatamination. (food) yet, these rules contradict the rules already in place and they are so assinine that they actually make it impossible to work effeciantly.

Eileen,

Have you discussed it with someone? Is it possible your state changed the laws?

I live in CA and our laws regarding food are really strict. I was actually really surprised. In another thread, I wrote that I just returned from a trip to Israel. Our breakfasts each morning included bread that we cut ourselves. The bread was on the buffet. This meant everyone cutting the bread was touching it. Of course here in CA, that would NEVER be allowed.

When we cut fruit, we must wash the knife after almost every slice to avoid cross cantamination. We also must wash our hands each time we touch a different food.

I'm not saying it's not frustrating, it is, but it's also the law.

Talking Re: what is the name for this kind of stupidity?

I think I would go talk to your manager or your supervisor of your Company & also I'm sure you must have to have a food handlers card, wouldn't the store follow the rules of the state? One thing for sure I would get updated on the rules & stick with what you know to be right.

these rules go above and beyond ca regulations. but they condritict each other.
i think that even if calif was to actually sit down and figure out if the rules were necessary they would see they are worthless.
we get more contamination from the customers than we do preparing the food.
