What is your take on what has happened? His drunk driving, his rants and horrible comments during his arrest? His apology?

I'm glad he's seeking treatment & hope that he didn't let his true feelings be known from his remarks while drinking.

I think that everyone makes mistakes..even celebrities lol...although most of the time they try to cover them up.He is a great actor and if he is geniunely sorry than we should forgive him.

I guess I'm a bit more skeptical. He was drunk. He was driving under the influence. He insulted a woman. He insulted a police office. He made anti semitic remarks. You're right, we do all make mistakes, however that's an awful lot of mistakes in a very short period of time. It's also a lot of really bad choices. Again, we all make a bad choice from time to time, but that many?

Only his future actions will show whether he truly regrets and wants to make good on what he's done.

Yea I see your point lol.....I suppose he has alot of amends to make and lots of times people forgive but they dont forget.Hopefully he gets the help he needs,because its obvious he has some underlying issues.

At one time I thought this was a very Christian man. I no longer think that. His words, while they could be misconstrued as a mistake were hateful. I find it difficult to believe that a Christian at heart could ever be drunk enough to launch such a vile, verbal attack against an entire group of individuals.

My opinion is that he's truly sorry that he let his real feelings be known. My own personal protest will be to never watch another Mel Gibson movie.
