How do you get motivated when you don't feel like making calls?

I thought it would be a good idea to share different ways.

One of the things I do when I am feeling like that is to listen to one of the recorded company calls. That always gets my blood pumping. Of course walking to my mailbox and getting another pay check helps too!

Try to remember back to when you started the business and WHY you started it. Go over you short term and long term goals.

Making the first call is always difficult. When you're just getting started in a business, call a few friends first, then work your way down to aquaintences, and finally begin the cold calls. That way you get in the groove of what you need to say and it's beginning to sound natural. Plus, you're warmed up a bit after making the first couple of calls to people who aren't so frightening!

Just call them to get to know them and chat - at first - dont feel so pressured to get your info to them right away - that has helped me with the first call anxiety - plus think about your business and your product - the excitement and passion will shine through

Not only can I understand that frustration, so can 1000's of others in a home based business.

It's not necessarily the phone that is the issue, it is the fear of the results. Let's face it...out of 100 leads 60-70 percent are going to be voice mails, 20-30 percent you'll touch base with. And, out of the 20-30 you'll touch base with, how many will say something like..."I never requested any information, I'm not interested, I have no Money, I don't have the time....", on and on.

I'm not looking to be negative..just laying out the facts.

I've been there and done that. Thankfully, because of a friends call...people call me all day, every day about my business. And this secret can work for anyone's primary business. It most definitely puts the part timer on the same playing field as the full timer when it comes to prospecting.

And.....I've actually discovered a system that can be used for any direct sales business, home business, and netorking...that does my cold calling FOR Me.

My phone just rings with people wanting to know about my product, services, or opportunity.

I qualify them like we do for desire, time and money and then let the other tools provided do the presentation, follow up and closing.

It most definitely make my front end prospecting much more efficient and effective, giving me more time for the important stuff...family, recreation and assisting my team members the way I should.
