It looks like a nice board,I have a message board as well and am always looking for improvement.The coloring is a bit too much.How long has your board been up and running?How did you make that banner,I love it!I am looking into making a banner for my site too!I wish ya luck! Maybe we can share ideas sometime!

I have about 40 members and can't seem to get them to post on my forum. Any hints or tips to get it going? I am having a post the most contest for April, but so far posts are still slow going.

Well I know what you mean about slow posting lol,the only people on my forum that post are my mods!I have a few members that post,but mainly in the advertising folder or there direct sales folder.I am not running contests yet,but maybe offer a advertising spot?I will be offering a banner ad on mine.I am busy alot on mine such as getting the colors and everything organized.The only thing I can say is that maybe offer something different.I know that you have alot of different categories.What are the rewards for posting?I just won a postng contest on MomBizDirectory.com I was the first to hit 100 posts and I got a mousepad,a coffee cup and a calendar with wahm in progress written on it!I havent figured out what other things I will be offering though.Get your members involved like maybe the highest poster can win a basket of small items that are donated from other direct sales companies,like 2 or 3 and offer the people that donate those items a free advertising spot for there first month.That is something that I am going to do.Look,send me an email at momscandlebiz1@aol.com if you want to chat more!I will join your board.

Your message board is hard to navigate and it is very hard to post on.Also the signature lines do not work!When I post my signature line does not show up and I made sure that I had that set in the control panel.I am not trying to be harsh but it is not user friendly at least on my computer it isnt.I was able to post but it took forever.Maybe there is something that I missed I am not sure.

Right now I am offering a prize for whoever posts the most for April...was hoping to get to at least 100 posts and a lot more members posting..I may extend it into May. I am offering a prize from one of my online stores either purple hippo, stuffafriend, appleberry market home decor and gifts, cafepress or my all occasion party supply store valued around $10. I can't afford much more these days...

I like your idea of offering free banner ads to donors for prizes too so that I'm not the only one donating all the time.

I have a board that is growing pretty fast,and I have three mod's.We have decided about a contest and the winner will recieve a basket of prizes from all of us.Since we all are into different things that will be nice.Banner advertising is a good idea too,I am thinking of ways to make my board unique.I am having a problem with people joining nad not participating lol.I have decided to delete those that are inactive after a month or so,I have that announcement posted in all the forums.My board I think is getting big,I may have to get my own server.
