New Recruit Quits
With the month winding down and the end of a contest just days away I was feeling no stress because last night I signed what I thought would be my finall member of my team to make all my quotas.
This morning she cancelled on me. Her husband gave her a bad time about having her own business. Silly man, by this time next year he could have quit his job.
Ah, back to the drawing board.

Re: New Recruit Quits
Aww, sorry to hear that Connie. His loss really, not yours. You still have a few days to meet your quota.
Good luck to you.

Sorry to hear that Connie. But think of this way, if she so easily let her husband deflate her like that she probably wouldn't have been good at her business because she would have self doubt hanging over head.

That is too bad. Just remember though there is always a reason for these things. All the "no's" will make you rich!

Connie,
I agree. When your partner is not supportive, it is hard to run your own biz. This just opens up your world for another consultant who is ready .

Re: New Recruit Quits
You really do need the support of your spouse, because if not he/she could make you feel miserable. Then again if she would of tried it out or anything I bet he would of been surprised with what she could of accomplished. Oh well, there loss!! You'll find someone else I'm sure. Sometimes it's better that she didn't get your hopes up and backed out now and not keep you waiting.

Re: New Recruit Quits
It's nice to have someone to tell when you're excited about a new accomplishment who isn't going to burst your bubble.
Sorry, about your recruit. That happened to me this week, too. Then the next day, someone came out of the woodwork and signed up. I feel better now.
i hope you will, too.

Re: New Recruit Quits
It's true ... having a supporting spouse is critical to the success of a new consultant (if he/she's married). My husband has never been very supportive of my ventures before this one, but, now that the children are older, he's much better about it. He realizes it's something I need to do for me.
Just keep talking to other people and it WILL come around for you. Guess it shows you can never rest on your laurels, huh?

Re: New Recruit Quits
I am glad my spouse is supportive of my business. It helps the fact that he is also in business for himself so he knows what it takes to make it work.
I have had a few people quit due to an unsupportive spouse, I think some of them would hve been good. One thing I have learned is this. You can not control what someone else will do you can only control yourself and your actions.
Don't let it get you down, just keep plugging away and adding to your team you will be amazed at the results.

Reason: It's late, I had typos and I can't stand them :)
