The key to being successful in a homebased business is finding something you can be passionate about! If you believe the service or product you are offering, you will be more likely to stick with it.
Second, to be successful you have to realize that whatevery it is that you are trying to build, you have to "go to work". This means you have to put time in to your business, which means working it while the kids nap or watch that 30 minutes of TV (please no more than that a day!), and ignore those dirty dishes for a while! Remember, the other option for most is to put the kids in daycare and work for someone else. It take juggling, but you have to open the door to the store and turn the lights on so to speak.
Next, you have to be persistant and keep working on it! If you stick it over a year, you have a great chance of making it successful.
