not unheard of, but it takes a lot of work.
Skills Needed: Creativity, design,
marketing. You have to be able to sell yourself and
your product. Business skills are important. If
you don't have them, get them.

Any Tips?: Don't be fooled that this is a
fun and creative business that will generate lots of money
with little work. Running a gift basket business is like
running any other. It takes long hours, and marketing
skills. Educate yourself about this industry. There are
many books, trade shows, and workshops out there about the
gift basket industry. There are also many message boards
out there to network with others in the business. If this
is your dream then follow it, but realize it takes a lot of
work, persistence, and skill.
