Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3 cups miniature marshmallows
4 cups Post Fruity or Cinna-Crunch Pebbles Cereal
Coconut
Assorted candies
Prepartion:
Microwave butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 30 seconds or until melted. Add
marshmallows; toss to coat. Microwave 1-1/2 minutes, stirring
after 45 seconds. Add cereal; toss lightly to coat well.
Press firmly into lightly greased muffin pan to form 24 nests; cool.
Fill nests with coconut and candies.
Tips: Lightly spray hands with no stick cooking spray to prevent cereal mixture from
sticking to your hands and facilitate pressing cereal mixture into muffin cups.
Lightly grease the bottom of a small jar such as a spice jar and use to press into center
of nests to easily create even indentations.
To tint coconut easily and mess-free, place about 1 cup coconut in zipper-style plastic
bag. Add about 3 drops liquid food coloring; close bag. Massage coconut in bag until color
is evenly distributed.
These nests can also be filled with a scoop of ice cream and drizzled with strawberry or
pineapple topping for a fun and festive springtime dessert.
These nests also make a great container for some fresh whole strawberries topped with
whipped topping for a fresher than fresh springtime treat.
Store nests loosely covered at room temperature.

Tree Centerpiece |

You will need:
*An attractive leafless branch about a foot long, with several smaller branches. You want
something shaped like a small bare tree.
*White high gloss spray paint
*A 5" clay pot with the bottom hole taped shut (use duct tape)
*Pretty pastel ribbon wide enough to cover the rim of the pot and long enough to go around
it, plus make a bow.
*A small bouquet of pastel colored mixed artificial flowers (available ready made in the
craft department of WalMart)
*A bag of pastel plastic Easter eggs, medium size
*A hot glue gun and pair of scissors
*Pastel ribbon ¼" wide, several colors if possible
*A small amount of Plaster of Paris…enough to fill the pot
*Green Easter basket grass
*Miscellaneous small trinkets to hide inside the eggs
Spray paint the branch and the pot all over with the paint and let dry outside until
completely dry. Mix up the Plaster of Paris according to the package directions, making it
not soupy, but thick; pour it into the pot to within about an inch of the rim and insert
the painted branch. Secure the branch with tape to hold it in place and let it dry until
the Plaster of Paris is good and hard, at least a day.
Hot glue the ribbon around the rim, hot glue a bow to cover the ends, and hot glue the
small flower bouquet in the middle of the bow. Drizzle hot glue over the top of the
Plaster of Paris and quickly pat bunches of green Easter grass in place to cover.
Cut the ¼" ribbon into 4" lengths, form each into a loop and hot glue the ends
to the tip of the small ends of the plastic eggs. Cover the glue glob with a small bow so
the ends hang down over the egg about 1" on each side. Put a small trinket into each
egg, close it up and hang it on a branch. .
