Holiday Placemats

This is a great craft project for children of all ages. I make more of them every year for Christmas (but you can use any holiday!)

You will need:
A box of Holiday Cards (may be cards that you have received for previous holidays)
Clear Contact Paper
Contact Paper with a design (for backing)
Scissors
A large coffee cup (to trace the shapes)

Trace circles on the cards (on the picture that you would like to keep)and then cut out the shapes. Layer the circles together (overlapping a little on each one) to form an oval. You will notice that it is not a "perfect oval" but should reflect the circle cuts to give the oval a decorative shape. Cover the top with clear
contact paper. Flip over and cover back with decorative contact paper. Cut the excess contact paper to fit the design of the oval. Repeat until you are out of cards.
